Apolline was formed in 2012 in the center of France (Blois) by five musicians, professionals of the performing arts and current music scene. The band was formed on February 9 – holy Apolline’s day – following a jam session full of magic and complicity. That meeting gave birth to the first songs, which became the basis of a repertoire that now contains over twenty titles, all bound to solid seventies and progressive foundations (Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd).
Committed to a strong and creative artistic project, Apolline offers a world of sounds and melodies that reminds of Anglo-Saxon rock. The contagious enthusiasm and the originality of this untypical formation turn every show into an experience.
Lead singer Arthur Navellou, trained dancer and actor delivers an astounding performance. Supported by powerful guitars and a pugnacious rhythm section, his somewhat animal, yet fragile energy turns Apolline’s concerts into moments of intense and remarkable musical emotion. A burning thunderstorm always appreciated by the public; whether in Clubs or Festivals.
Apolline toured in New York City from October 15th to 21th 2013 for three gigs : Parkside Lounge (Lower East Side), Nublu (East Village), Gossy’s (Brooklyn).
